3 Ingredient Fish Dishes

You don’t need 101 ingredients to make a shellfish dish that looks and tastes amazing. It’s a common misconception that shellfish meals are complicated or only broken out during dinner parties. Don’t talk yourself out of cooking with some truly versatile seafood options! Here are Dockside’s favourite 3-ingredient recipes that utilise shrimp (from our July giveaway), mussels and a sneaky salmon for anyone that wants to be different!

Shrimp Coleslaw

Spiralising your veg has become a major food trend. Our shrimp coleslaw gives you all the nutritional benefits of substituting pasta for veg, with none of the hassle of spiralising it!

Ingredients

115g Dockside Shrimp

350g tomato-based pasta sauce

1 bag of shredded stir-fry vegetables

(You’ll need oil and some seasonings too! We recommend cayenne pepper powder and garlic powder.)

Directions

Add a tablespoon of oil to a large pan and bring it to a medium heat. Pour in your vegetables and a cupful of water. Cover your pan so the vegetables lose their toughness. This will make their texture more like spaghetti!

Add your pasta sauce and shrimp to the pan and mix well with your vegetables. Cook the contents of your pan until they are piping hot, add your seasonings and plate up!

Pesto Mussels

Simple and scrumptious—this recipe is all about adding a spicy twist to your already-delicious shellfish.

Ingredients

1kg Dockside’s Fresh Live Mussels, cleaned

235ml white wine

110g
 coriander pesto

(Grab some crusty bread for dipping!)

Directions

Pour your wine into a large pan and bring it to the boil. Carefully pour in the mussels and cover your pan. Let them simmer for around 5 minutes, until they begin to open.

Add your pesto into the pan, mix it into the wine and you’ll have a flavourful mussels meal that took only minutes to make! If you fancy making your own pesto, we have a great recipe here.

Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

4 x 140g portions of Dockside’s Frozen Skinless Atlantic Salmon

1 tbsp. red curry paste

1
 tbsp. olive oil

(You’ll need brown sugar, salt and black pepper too!)

Directions

Preheat your oven to a high-heat setting for broiling and position your salmon on a baking tray lined with foil.

Mix your oil, curry paste, 1 teaspoon of sugar and ½ a teaspoon of salt and pepper together and brush the mixture over your fillets.

Oven-cook your salmon for between 5 and 10 minutes and enjoy with seasoned greens or a roast vegetable medley.
